Fertility Billing Solution (FBS) builds modern software to help fertility clinics automate patient billing, consent renewals, and administrative workflows. Backed by Ripple Ventures and the MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund, we’re helping clinics replace spreadsheets and PDFs with intelligent systems that simplify operations and improve patient care.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our technical vision and execution. This is a high-impact role for a leader who loves to build, ship, and shape the foundation of a company solving complex problems in healthcare.

You’ll work directly with the founder to design and deliver products that touch every part of the fertility patient journey. We operate with trust, autonomy, and rapid iteration.

• Collaborate directly with the founder and small team to design, build, and launch new products
• Own key features from conception to deployment across a modern, high-velocity stack
• Help define our technical direction as we evolve our cloud-native architecture
• Talk to customers and physicians to deeply understand their workflows and challenges
• Bring ideas, curiosity, and a builder mindset to everything you do

About You

• Passionate about healthcare and the impact of technology on patient outcomes
• Experience working in a startup as a founder or early hire
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to move fast with limited direction
• Excellent communicator: not afraid to talk to customers and gather insights
• Product-thinking mindset: care about user experience as much as code
• Curious and hands-on with modern AI tools and frameworks

• Current: Supabase (Postgres) + Edge Functions, Next.js, Postman for testing
• Future: Evaluating AWS / GCP / Azure as we scale
